Placencia area for Permit, Tarpon and Bonefish
Nestled in the middle of some of the world's most prolific and relatively untouched permit and tarpon fishing ground. This lodge is a place where you legitimately have a shot at catching a "grand slam" on a daily basis.
The fishing grounds off Tarpon Cay are literally a stones throw away where you can actually watch permit tailing right from the front porch, as opposed to being a 40 minute ride to the flats like most other places. The tarpon make their home in a near by lagoon and are very willing to eat. The main target is permit and you can expect to cast to an average 20 tailing permit/day. Bonefish are also plentiful on some of the sandy flats of the area. The area is firm bottom and you have the choice of wading or casting from the boat.
The lodge only accommodates up to 6 anglers/week and the "best" tides are limited to twice a month so booking early is a must. Fishing days are dedicated to fishing tides rather than a time schedule that most outfitters work on, maximizing your shots at fish.
Cabanas- The lodge has 3 cabanas with private restrooms and showers. The island is small and only supports the fishing lodge. Listing below is included in the package price and the meals are superb.
